When the Ruger MkIII 22/45 Pac-Lite with a threaded barrel came out in 2010, it was a big deal for .22 suppressor fans. Here it runs with a Gemtech Outback II.
What to Watch For
- Factory threaded barrel, so no machining needed to mount a can
- Lightweight build keeps the pistol and suppressor easy to handle
- The combo is very quiet, especially with subsonic ammo
It was not the first suppressed .22 pistol, but it helped make the setup mainstream. Plenty of shooters still start their suppressor journey with a Ruger .22.
